Professional profile
Stuart Jones is a statistician whose applied work spans data science, predictive-model evaluation, quantitative evidence, data quality, and algorithmic decision systems used in consequential settings.
He currently leads an analytics and data-science function in insurance regulation, including structured technical review of insurer-submitted AI and machine-learning models used in pricing, ratemaking, and underwriting. That work includes review of model specification, stability, interpretability, variable relationships, subgroup behavior, and fairness-related statistical analyses. His prior work includes criminal-justice decision systems and pretrial risk assessment, statewide education forecasting, regulatory analytics, and large-scale institutional data.
He holds an M.S. in Statistics from Auburn University, an M.S. in Mathematics Education, and a B.S. with a double major in Mathematics and Psychology. He is also a Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), Associate Level.
In addition to applied practice, he serves as a Lead Trainer in Data Science & Artificial Intelligence and previously taught mathematics and statistics at the college level.
